Conecon Begins Construction of the EnBW Solar Park Görlsdorf in Vierlinden

Görlsdorf/Vierlinden, Germany, November 7, 2024 – The groundbreaking ceremony marked the official start of construction for the Görlsdorf Solar Park. Conecon GmbH, a leading company in the construction of solar power plants, has been entrusted with implementing the project in close collaboration with EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG.

The innovative ground-mounted facility will generate up to 87.6 MWp of electricity, enough to power approximately 35,000 households. Augmented by battery storage with a capacity of 13.4 megawatt-hours, the solar park aims to enhance the region's energy supply, making it not only more sustainable but also more flexible.

"We are very pleased to contribute our expertise and experience to this significant project," said Dino Franke, CFO of Conecon GmbH. "Our goal is to actively drive the energy transition while adhering to the highest quality standards."

Progress and Regional Benefits

Preparatory work, such as site fencing and cabling, has been underway since September 2024. Conecon is overseeing the entire construction process, including mechanical and electrical installations. A particularly complex aspect of the project is the integration of battery storage, which will enable flexible feeding of electricity into the grid, positioning the project as a model for future developments.

The region will benefit not only from energy production but also from financial gains: annual income from the “solar euro” levy and additional business taxes will strengthen the financial foundation of the Vierlinden municipality, creating long-term opportunities for development.

The construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
